Benefits

What's in it for you?

Are you an experienced student interested in assisting your fellow students settle in and meet people?

Do you want to have some fun and learn about yourself and others at the same time?

Students who volunteer as peer tutors and/or mentors have the unique opportunity of developing skills in communication, leadership, peer mentoring and developing a portfolio ready for the workforce.

A developmental transcript will be provided for those who participate in the program for one year or more. The transcript will demonstrate to the prospective employer your communication skills, leadership skills and your active involvement in community based projects. It will show that you have been a positive role model for students who may have difficulties adjusting to University life and study.

If you are an interested second to final year university student and would like more information on the mentor program visit the websites for the First Year Mentoring Program and the Primary and Secondary Peer Tutoring and Mentoring Program. If you would like to apply to the program visit the section on How to Apply.
